adidas Originals | ZX Flux | Block Party, Johannesburg

On Friday, 29 August 2014, adidas Originals hosted its third, and largest in the series of events at AREA3 to commemorate the ZX Flux. For one night only the streets of the Maboneng Precinct were taken over by the ZX Flux Infinite Possibilities Block Party, where attendees were treated to top acts such as Ms Cosmos, Thibo Tazz and Kid Fonque, who performed back-to-back on dual stages. On the night, the final stage of the year-long exhibition at AREA3 was simultaneously revealed to the public, the latest exhibition pieces of which were designed around the ZX Flux Leopard, Tropic, Snake and Poppy. Guests at the event were also able to experience a unique out-of-home projection that incorporated both a print as well as a digital creative application. The projection, capable of operating under both day and night conditions, was a first for the market, which - up until now – had never seen high-definition, custom-animated content being blended with print.
